- Confirm that the accepted filing record uses this county for the LLC office.
- Request the current daily and weekly newspaper designations from the responsible county clerk.
- Arrange publication once each week for six successive weeks in the clerk-designated newspapers.
- Collect the affidavits of publication from both newspapers.
- File the Certificate of Publication with both affidavits through the Department of State route.
Why this planner does not quote newspaper prices
Newspaper designations and advertising rates can change. New York law makes the county clerk's designation part of the legal path. A commercial list or cheaper newspaper is not a substitute for the responsible clerk's current instruction.
What finishes the sequence
The publication run alone is not the final record. Retain both newspaper affidavits and attach them to the Department of State Certificate of Publication filing. Confirm acceptance in the official record rather than relying on an invoice or email from a vendor.
